Ultimate Breakfast Sandwich

It’s no secret that breakfast is my favorite meal on any given day. A trip to Riverward Produce Market inspired this recipe when I came across these sesame milk buns from The Lost Bakery. Toasted to perfection, the sesame milk buns make the perfect breakfast sandwich. Any chosen meat would be a great addition to round out the sandwich.

Ingredients

1 - Sesame Milk Bun, Potato or Brioche Roll

1 - Large Egg

1 - Pork Roll or Meat of Choice

1 - Slice of Provolone Cheese

¼ Cup - Half and Half

2 tbsp - Creme Fraiche

2 tbsp - Unsalted Butter

Pinch - Salt and Black Pepper

Handfull - Arugula

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, beat large egg, half and half, creme fraiche, salt and black pepper.

  2. Heat butter in small or medium skill units melted on medium low heat.

  3. Add the egg mixture to the skillet and cook until eggs become solid enough to fold without breaking.

  4. Add slice of pork roll to the skillet, sear for 2 minutes on each side.

  5. Remove pork roll from the skillet and set aside.

  6. Add slice of provolone cheese to egg and turn off the heat.

  7. Toast bun until lightly toasted about 2 to 3 minutes.

  8. Bottom bun side down add arugula

  9. Add pork, egg and cheese.

  10. Adding any spreadable condiment is optional to round out the sandwich.
