In the summer of 2021, my cousin was visiting and asked where could we get some good pizza. After thinking for a moment, the perfect spot came to mind. Pupatella, a Neapolitan pizzeria located in Arlington,Virginia. This pizzeria is in a small corner spot across the street from a grocery store. Inside I got my usual order which is a margherita pizza with buffalo mozzarella and fresh basil. Some of you may ask, what is buffalo mozzarella? Buffalo mozzarella is a mozzarella made from the milk of Italian mediterranean buffalo. I also ordered a side of arancini with sausage. Arancini is a fried risotto rice ball with mozzarella, sausage and peas on the inside. I rounded out my order with some crispy Brussel sprouts with green apples and balsamic vinegar to share. What goes great with Pizza? A nice cold beer, I chose the Fat Tire Belgian Wheat. My cousin order the Diavola pizza which consist of, hot salami, fresh mozzarella and basil. Pizza and sides never disappoints and my cousin was pleasantly satisfied. With many locations throughout Northern Virginia, make sure to stop by, say hi and grab a pie.
