On this late Sunday afternoon, Craving brunch, I decided to order the buttermilk pancakes, decaf latte. The pancakes were served with a dusting of powered sugar, warm maple syrup, whipped salted butter and fresh blueberries. The pancakes were light and fluffy with those crispy edges that this stack of pancakes were perfection with every bite. The decaf latte was silky smooth that made for the perfect compliment to the pancakes.
With an assortment of bakery items, I ordered shortbread cookies, brioche glazed donut, apple galette, jelly filled donut, and chocolate donut. I highly recommend all the items I selected. Each pastry, unique and elegant in their own way. Also on the menu, were beignets! The waitress was kind enough to let me sample paying homage to my southern roots. The beignets were light and fluffy on the inside and a lite crisp on the outside leaving me quite satisfied.
